What is Reinforca Silt Protector?
Reinforca Silt Protector is a silt curtain installed in water to prevent pollution from construction mud at coastal or riverside sites. It works by blocking (covering) a specific area with a specially designed, high-strength geotextile curtain that contains fine soil particles (silt).
The curtain reduces current velocity inside the enclosed area and reduces the influence of external currents, which significantly accelerates sedimentation. After a period of time, a visible colour difference appears between the water inside and outside the curtain, as suspended sediment settles out within the work zone.
Reinforca Silt Protector is made from Reinforca high-tensile PET woven geotextile — the same trusted material used throughout Indonesia for road construction, slope reinforcement and port works.
